Sailing Away- Literally
So I was going through my old magazines the other day, and came across a great article in the July/August 2010 Coastal Living about a family who just packed up, put their house on the market, and set sail with their two kids. I have no idea how I missed this before. I love it so much, I figured better late than never to share it.
How great is that? To just grab the people you love and sail away on an adventure together? Every night, the family stops at a different port along the East Coast to experience for themselves the unique charm of the Maine to Florida coastline. The kids, ages 6 and 9, are homeschooled on the boat, and everyone lives and works together on a 30-ft sailboat. It’s such a perfect little story!
Anyways, I can’t seem to find a link to the article on the Coastal Living website (or anywhere online for that matter), so I guess if you want to read the details for yourself, you’ll need to pick up a hard copy of this summer’s magazine. In the mean time, its nice to know that it IS possible to escape from it all, to literally sail away.
Anyone know where I can buy a sailboat?
