Today’s post is from exactly two weeks ago, my twenty-fourth birthday! Since I work on a flexible schedule, I decided to take the afternoon to venture down to Harwich Port with my mother and grandmother. Neither of them had seen our wedding venue yet (can you believe it?!), so it was a great opportunity to take them there, as well.

Our first stop, Wychmere. Then, delicious swordfish sandwiches and Sauvignon Blanc at Brax Landing and shopping on Main Street. I know that I overuse the word “perfect,” but even with the cloudy sky, it was literally a perfect birthday.

Nashville

photo 3I had planned on spending most of my summer in the North East, but I jumped on a plane for a quick trip back south mid-July. We were invited to a wedding in Nashville and no way did I want to miss out on the opportunity to go. This was my first ever trip to Music City, and of course, I loved it. I could just feel the creativity everywhere; it was definitely far removed my experience of The South thus far.

We were only there for three days, but I’m looking forward to returning soon. Nashville is only four hours away from where we are in Mississippi, so it will definitely be an easy, weekend trip.

My weekend on the Cape,: morning runs, mini golf, neighborhood walks, treasure hunting, relaxing on the water. The vibrancy of color was overwhelming; the bright blue of the water, the vibrant green of the grass, the orange of the setting sun. Color exploding from every natural corner.

Downtown details. Boston is beautiful in the summer. We spent the day in the Public Gardens and on Newbury, where we also passed the filming of Black Mass. It was a perfect mid-week escape.
