St. Ives

St Ives, a Cambridge day out. We were eager (or as the British say, “keen”) to explore somewhere new and spend time outside, but didn’t feel like driving more than an hour or so. St Ives is only a 40 minute drive from us, so it was perfect.

The day began with a walk through the Houghton Meadows, continued along the River Great Ouse on to Holt Island, and concluded sitting in the sun at the cutest riverside tearoom, the River Terrace Cafe. Such a great discovery for us. I hope we can make it back  at least once this summer for Sunday jazz afternoons in the park.
