Apples

Back at Sweet Berry Farm, this time for… apples! Fun fact: I discovered the farm a few years ago when searching for a place to pick apples south of Boston. And now, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been.

I was so excited to make the trip here while I was home. It was an absolute priority. Since I had a wedding to go to that weekend, we went on a Monday after my brother finished school for the day. Definitely not a traditional time to go apple-picking, but it was great – we basically had the entire orchard to ourselves, and it was *such* a beautiful, warm fall day. There was even a magazine crew on site staging the chicest wedding shoot!

If I lived here year-round, I’d be back in December for a Christmas tree. Since I don’t, it’ll be next summer for berries. Until then, Sweet Berry Farm.

I love this farm. I’ve posted about it so many times, I know, so I won’t bore with details. My brother and I spent the afternoon here, at Sweet Berry Farm, picking blueberries and frolicking in the field of sunflowers. It was *wonderful.*

It’s a tradition we have, to come here. Every time I’m home, we drive the hour south the pick whatever is in season. At first, it was something to do with my “baby” brother. Now years later, he does it more to humor me than anything – a trip to the farm isn’t exactly on the top of the average fourteen year-old boy’s to-do-list – but it makes it all the more special. This thing, in this magical place, that we do, always, together.

Sweet Berry Farm, Again

I know I post pictures from this little farm in Rhode Island all the time; it’s because it really, truly is one of my favorite places in all of the world. That’s why I wanted to come here with my brother and sister for my last day in America before moving to England. It was such a weird day – cloudy, hazy, even rainy on the drive down – but we didn’t let that stop us from picking bunches of apples, feasting on banana bread, and frolicking in the sunflowers. This is one of the things that I’m definitely going to miss the most.

Newport Polo

THIS is my new favorite thing. Why did it take so long for us to discover Newport Polo? Outside, in the sun, friends, food. If I wasn’t moving across the Atlantic, I’d be here every day.

Back to visit one of my most favorite places with my entire family. Apple picking, raspberry picking, pumpkin picking, ice cream, & frolicking in the wildflowers.

Blueberry picking with my little brother before I head back to Mississippi. I absolutely love Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Rhode Island and was searching for any excuse to go back. It was a little too early for apples, but fortunately, blueberry season was still going strong. The hazy sky and showers were not enough to keep us away.
